The Ruger® Mini-14® Ranch Rifle Semi-Auto Rifle is a scaled down version of the US M-14 with no selective fire switch. All models of Ruger's Mini-14 semi-automatic rifles have a solid reputation for being absolutely reliable under all conditions and have proven themselves in both law enforcement and military use worldwide. The Ranch Rifle operates with a very simple Garand-style design that uses a fixed-piston gas system where gas impinges directly upon the operating rod and a breech bolt locking system. A large extractor and fixed ejector send spent cases flying swiftly to the right of the shooter. The Ranch Rifle ejector is set to eject cases low to avoid hitting a mounted scope. No tools are required to quickly fieldstrip the rifle down to a few large parts that are not easily misplaced, and it reassembles just as quickly. A flat, rubber butt-plate keeps the rifle on the shoulder during rapid fire. A ghost ring, adjustable rear aperture sight and a protected, 3-prong post front sight provide for rapid target acquisition and hold up to rugged use. Integral scope mounts are machined into the receiver for mounting an optical sight with the included Ruger scope rings. We designed this rifle with the highest attention to detail and beauty. The main panel features an American Beauty Rose embellished with a floral scroll pattern. Beneath the rose is the banner AMERICAN BEAUTY. Hand-cut by master engraver Heidi Roos, the rose and other elements are mechanically transferred onto the nickel plated receiver cover using a hand cut master. This meticulous process helps retain the bright cuts of the original art, which is then further enhanced with 14K rose gold plating so the petals look like they’re in bloom.
