The Heavy-Duty Revolver was introduced on April 1, 1930 and was designed on the .44 Hand Ejector Third Model frame. The revolver was initially manufactured with a 5'' barrel length and had a weight of 40 ounces and was chambered in .38/44. As time and manufacturing progressed, Smith and Wesson produced the revolver in 4'' and 6'' lengths. The Heavy Duty was manufactured continuously throughout the 1930's on the N-frame. The total production of the Pre-World War II .38/44 Heavy Duty was 11,111 revolvers and production of the revolver ceased in order to focus upon the war effort from 1940-1946. At the end of World War II, on June 18th, 1946, this model was reintroduced to the public. In 1948, the factory incorporated the new style short action and the gun remained unchanged from that date until it was discontinued in 1966. During its lifetime, the revolver was eventually designated the Model 20 in 1957, when Smith and Wesson began assigning numeric model designations to their firearms. Even though the .38/44 chamber was designed to fire the .38 Special Super police loads, this revolver prompted the idea of producing the popular .357 Magnum, which was designed in 1934 and introduced as its own production model in 1935. The first .357 Magnum was received by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover on April 8th, 1935. This revolver eventually became the Model 27 in 1957. This newly imagined II-frame revolver in 2023 is unique in that it embodies the features of the original Heavy Duty/ Model 20 features, while being chambered in the .357 Magnum. The team at Smith and Wesson have resurrected the 20th century legacy of the N-frame revolver in the classic blued configuration of the Heavy Duty in tandem with the .357 Magnum for the modern revolver owner. These are very hard to find so grab yours here today before it is gone!

Built like a tank” is a phrase that has entered the American lexicon as a means to describe hardware that is durable, strong, and nearly indestructible. The term may have originated in describing armored fighting vehicles, but it also clearly describes the Tommy Gun. It is only fitting then that Auto-Ordnance continue the series of WWII commemorative guns with the “Tanker Thompson”, dedicated to the memory of the brave American soldiers who faced the enemy in steel chariots like the M4 Sherman Tank.
Nearly 50,000 Shermans were produced during World War II, seeing action primarily in Europe against Nazi Germany. Just like the Thompson, these Shermans were a vital part of the war effort. The crews that took them into harm’s way were often outgunned by German tanks, but nevertheless took the fight to the enemy and achieved victory despite the odds. Auto-Ordnance is proud to honor America’s armored warriors with this commemorative Thompson. Each Tanker Thompson is Cerakoted in Army O.D. Green. The white star of the Sherman Tank is engraved just in front of the mag-well. The “U.S” logo is engraved on the buttstock.
Like every Thompson, the gun is all steel with high grade walnut furniture. The 16.5” barrel is exceptionally accurate. Owning the Tanker Thompson gives the modern shooter the opportunity to own a piece of history, while honoring the memory of the brave tank crews who delivered on America’s promise to achieve final victory in World War II.

The Bren 2 MS makes first landfall in the US in pistol form with multiple barrel lengths and two chamberings. With a trimmed-down aluminum receiver and a lower made from carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, the result is a robust but substantially lighter gun. Gone is the reciprocating charging handle, replaced with one that stays stowed in the forward position until it is needed. Swappable from side to side, it does double duty as a forward assist. Also added is an AR-style bolt catch/release system that is mirrored on both sides of the firearm, as well as a catch/release nestled into the front of the trigger guard. The magazine release and safety are ambidextrous. In pistol form, the Bren 2 Ms comes with a flush rear plate that has the provision for attaching a AR-style buffer tube for the installation of an arm brace, cheek rest, or similar pistol stabilizing device. AR-15 style magazines are used for 223 variants; all variants are swappable to different barrel lengths and chamberings and also feature a modular for-end that can be swapped to different lengths. In pistol form, the Bren 2 Ms comes with a flush rear plate that has the provision for attaching a AR-style buffer tube for the installation of an arm brace, cheek rest or similar pistol stabilizing device. For those who wish to SBR, a Carbine buffer tube and stock can be installed or the entire rear plate can be removed and replaced with a factory folding/adjustable stock.

Christensen Arms' CA-15 G2 series of modern sporting rifles is feature-rich, utilizing CA's trademark carbon fiber in critical components to reduce weight (weighs in at ONLY 5.8 lbs.) and increase structural integrity. This is particularly relevant to AR15-type rifles such as these, which tend to be front-heavy due to the use of long, heavy, metal handguards. Barrel mass is also a consideration; in a traditional AR15-type rifle, the shooter must balance their desired muzzle velocity with the weight that will be impacted by a longer, heavy-contour steel barrel. The CA-15 series, in general, alleviates this issue by offering models with a composite barrel (button-rifled, 416R stainless steel, wrapped in Aerograde carbon fiber). The result is a target-contour barrel that weighs considerably less than shorter, all-steel barrels of the same (or even thinner) contour. These features yield a light-weight, high-precision semi-automatic rifle which is, in the case of the G2 series, available from the factory chambered in .223 Wylde, enabling the safe use of 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. All G2 rifles have a sub-MOA guarantee.
