When you saw a movie with John Wayne, or watched The Rifleman with Chuck Connors you knew that the rifle they used was more than a screen prop. Going back in time, Annie Oakley performed across the world with Buffalo Bill shooting her special smoothbore 1892. Over a million. Not many firearm models today can boast of having had over one million produced. The Winchester Model 1892, very similar in construction to the Winchester Model 1886, is one of these famous lever-action rifles.

A Winchester legend is born, the Wildcate, a new 22 rimfire autoloader like no other. Field removable lower receiver, ambidextrous controls, speed load magazine, striker fired, integral picatinny rails and rear barrel access. The Wildcat has a precision button rifled chromoly steel barrel with a recessed target style crown for greater accuracy. The rifle uses a striker fired design (much like a centerfire bolt-action rifle) that provides faster lock time and a lighter trigger pull than traditional hammer fired rimfire designs. The hemispheric firing pin tip focuses its striking energy more efficiently, creating a deeper rim indent that gives more reliable ignition with all types of 22 LR ammo. The Wildcat accepts a wide range of aftermarket magazines that are compatible with the 10/22. Front and rear sling eyelets are molded right into the stock. Integral Picatinny top rail so you can easily add your choice of optics or electronic sights. A Picatinny rail section on the underside of the forearm tip lets you attach an optional bipod, sling mount, light or other accessory. The included rail cover protects your hand from the rails edges and corners when accessories are not attached. The lower receiver assembly is easily removed from the upper assembly by pushing a single button located at the rear of the upper assembly with your finger. No tools are required. The manual safety button is easily reversible so its perfect for both right and left handed shooters. Includes a pair of Allen wrenches one for adjusting the rear sight and the other for removing the stock are stores in the lower receiver assembly for easy access.
