The entire barrel is free-floating to eliminate any accuracy robbing pressure points. The receiver is chromoly steel bar stock that's precision machined and through-hardened during heat-treating to create a strong, stiff and solid receiver capable of delivering pinpoint accuracy. The ejection port is generously sized for more reliable ejection and easier access when loading single cartridges by hand. The receiver is drilled and tapped for robust 8-40 screws, creating a more secure mounting. Field removable lower receiver, ambidextrous controls, speed load magazine, striker fired, integral picatinny rails and rear barrel access. The Wildcat has a precision button rifled chromoly steel barrel with a recessed target style crown for greater accuracy. The rifle uses a striker fired design (much like a centerfire bolt-action rifle) that provides faster lock time and a lighter trigger pull than traditional hammer fired rimfire designs. The hemispheric firing pin tip focuses its striking energy more efficiently, creating a deeper rim indent that gives more reliable ignition with all types of 22 LR ammo. The Wildcat accepts a wide range of aftermarket magazines that are compatible with the 10/22. Front and rear sling eyelets are molded right into the stock.
