The RDB maintains a center of gravity over the grip assembly to facilitate ease of handling and balance. It comes equipped with two integral MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails, located above the barrel and on the handguard for mounting accessories and multiple sling attachment points compatible with a hook-style swivel. One 20-round magazine is included, and the RFB comes with a two point sling that can be easily configured to suit the user's preference.

The amount of training to master the SUB-2000 is only a fraction of that required for a handgun. The SUB-2000 has been developed from Kel-Tec’s highly successful SUB-9 rifle. Although retaining some features of the old rifle, the SUB-2000 is a completely new design. Emphasis has been put on consumer safety, but without impeding the performance. Polymers are used to a large extent, resulting in increased durability and reduced price.

Kel-Tec's semi-automatic Sub-2000 is a rifle chambered for pistol cartridges and can accept most double column handgun magazines. The Sub-2000 is classified as a "sub-rifle" because of its small size, light weight, and the use of a pistol cartridge. It is intended as a compliment to the handgun with which it would have full interchangeability in ammunition and magazines.
