Features of the S&W M&P 5.7 include precise front serrations, lightning cuts, and a 5″ barrel with 1/2×28 thread for mounting a muzzle device or suppressor. The TEMPO barrel system features an internal rotary barrel and external shroud allowing for muzzle device mounting. The proprietary gas system ensures the projectile has exited the barrel before the cam opens and ejects the casing. This allows for the smooth cycling of rounds and reduces the risk of malfunction. This M&P57 is the one without a manual safety.
